OneSource FCU, your member owned financial institution, is committed to providing you with competitive products and services to meet your financial needs and to help you reach your goals. We are equally committed to protecting your privacy. Your credit union recognizes our obligation to keep information about you secure and confidential. It is important for you to know that, unlike many other financial institutions, we do not sell or share Member information with outside marketers.
What the Policy Covers.
This policy covers Member information, which means non-public personal information about a member or a memberís current or former relationship with OneSource FCU. This policy statement is provided to you as required by the Federal Financial Privacy Law.
We collect and use various types of information to service your accounts, save you time and money and better understand your needs. However, OneSource FCU will not gather, collect or maintain any information about you that is not necessary in order to offer our products and services, to complete transactions that youíve requested or for other relevant business purposes. Information collected may be from a variety of sources, such as:
∑ Information you provide to us on applications or other forms;
∑ Information we receive from a consumer report, such as information regarding your creditworthiness or credit history;
∑ Information obtained when verifying the information you provide on an application or other form. This may be obtained from your current or past employers or from other institutions where you conduct financial transactions.
∑ Information about your transactions or experiences with OneSource FCU.
Information Use and Disclosure.
We may share all four types of non-public personal information about you with companies that work for us to provide you with products and services that youíve requested or already have with us. All outside companies and independent contractors with whom the credit union does business are subject to strict confidentiality agreements that restrict the use of your information. Your personal information will not be reused. We may share your information with the following types of outside companies and independent contractors:
∑ Financial service providers such as insurance companies and mortgage service companies.
∑ Non-financial companies such as consumer reporting agencies, data processors, check printers, companies that prepare account statements, plastic card processors, direct marketers and government agencies.
The credit union does not, and will not, sell or provide any member information to third parties including list services, telemarketing firms or outside companies for independent use.
Disclosing Information in Other Situations.
We may also disclose any of the four types of Member information to credit bureaus and similar organizations, and otherwise when permitted by law. For example, this may include:
∑ A disclosure in connection with a subpoena or similar legal process
∑ A fraud investigation
∑ Recording of deeds of trust and mortgages in public records
∑ An audit or examination
How to Opt Out or Stop Certain Disclosures About You.
If you prefer that we do not disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties, you may opt out of those disclosures. If you have a joint owner(s) on your account, the joint owner is eligible to exercise the right to opt out. If any one of you exercise the right to opt out, we will treat it as if all of you directed us not to make disclosures to nonaffiliated third parties (except those that are protected by law).
If you wish to opt out of the disclosure to nonaffiliated third parties, you may call our toll-free number (800) 532-0223 or (915) 592-0223, if youíre in the El Paso area, for an Opt Out form. Complete the Opt Out form, sign it, and return it to:

Once we receive your request, we have a reasonable amount of time to stop the disclosure. Due to data processing constraints, OneSource FCU members wishing to opt out will be excluded from all outside services. You may always contact us for assistance if you wish to revoke your opt out election at a later time.
Making Sure Information is Accurate.
Keeping your account information accurate and up to date is very important. We provide you with access to your account information through various means such as account statements, telephone response and online access. If you ever find that your account information is incomplete, inaccurate or not current, please call or write to us at the telephone number or address listed on your account statement or other documentation. We will promptly update or correct any erroneous information. If you have questions, you may always contact us and we will investigate your inquiry or complaint.
Information Security Program.
OneSource FCU is committed to preventing others from unauthorized access to your information, and we maintain procedures and technology designed for this purpose. To do this we:
∑ Update and test our technology on a regular basis in order to improve the protection of member information.
∑ Require outside companies and independent contractors to whom we provide member information for marketing, servicing or processing purposes to enter into a confidentiality agreement that restricts the use of the information to those purposes and prohibits independent use of the information.
∑ Have internal procedures that limit employee access to member information, such as procedures that require an employee to have a business need to access member information. We maintain policies about proper physical security of workplaces and records. Our physical, electronic and procedural safeguards comply with federal regulations regarding the protection of member information.
Keeping financial and personal information secure is one of our most important responsibilities. We value your trust and handle personal information with care.
To ensure information remains confidential, OneSource FCU uses encryption technology such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL) on our Web site to transmit information between you and the credit union. To send us secure e-mail, you should use OneSource FCU About Us on our home page. Because an Internet e-mail response back to you will not be secure, we will not include confidential account information in an e-mail response.
Regular Internet e-mail is not secure. When OneSource FCU provides Internet e-mail addresses, you should use them to provide only information that is non-sensitive and non-confidential. We ask that you do not send personal or account Information through e-mail.
Linking to Other Sites.
We may provide links to non-OneSource FCU companies, such as mortgage companies or insurance companies. If you choose to link to Web sites not controlled by OneSource FCU, we are not responsible for the privacy or security of these sites, including the accuracy, completeness, reliability of suitability of their information. If you are asked to provide information on one of these Web sites, we strongly urge you first to study carefully their Privacy Policies.
You are leaving the credit unionís web site;
You are linking to an alternate web site not operated by the credit union;
One Source FCU is not responsible for the content of the alternate web site;
One Source FCU does not represent either the third party or our member if the two enter into a transaction; and
Privacy and security policies may differ from those practiced by One Source Federal Credit Union.
To help safeguard information, we suggest that you:
∑ Protect your account numbers, plastic card numbers, PINs (personal identification numbers) or passwords.
∑ Never keep your PIN with your card, which can provide access to your accounts if your card is lost or stolen.
∑ Do not share your PIN or password with anyone.
∑ Change your password regularly.
∑ Remember to sign off once you have submitted an application for a product or service online, or completed a secure online session.
∑ Only provide your Access ID when your browser indicates an encrypted connection, such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL), directly to the OneSource FCU web site to another site you have investigated and fully trust.
Disclosure of Information About Former Members.
If you terminate your membership with OneSource FCU, we will not share information we have collected about you, except as may be permitted or required by law.
What You Can Do to Help.
∑ Use caution when disclosing your account numbers, social security numbers, etc. to other persons. If someone calls you explaining the call is on behalf of the credit union and asks for your account number, you should beware. Credit Union staff will have access to your information and will not need to ask for it.
∑ Keep your information with us current. If your address or phone number changes, please let us know. It is important that we know how to reach you. If we detect potentially fraudulent or unauthorized activity or use of an account, we will try to contact you immediately.
